The story
Why I built SimBuddy
I've spent my career in financial services with Australia's leading bank, giving me deep insight into consumer behaviour and what truly resonates in a value proposition. As a consumer myself, I often found it difficult to locate a single, unbiased source that displayed all current mobile plan deals — especially as the cost of living increased and comparison became more important.
Most sites only highlighted major telcos or sponsored reviews, which didn't help everyday Aussies looking for genuine value. I wanted a simple, transparent way to see every provider and the best deals available.
I created SimBuddy with that goal in mind. The platform compiles the latest SIM and eSIM offers across Australian providers and automatically ranks the top six deals based on coverage, price, data, and SIM/eSIM availability — not commissions. My aim is to keep the experience unbiased, easy to understand, and genuinely helpful for consumers looking to save money and switch with confidence.
